Dr. Tamara Russell is an LIP Tutor and Lecturer in Mindfulness and Meditation with the Alef Trust. As a clinical psychologist and martial artist with training in neuroscience, she blends these disciplines in her Body In Mind Training Program, an embodied transformative process to support change at the individual, group and systemic levels. Her passion is innovation in mindfulness. Tamara is the Founding Director of the Mindfulness Centre of Excellence - a think tank dedicated to making mindfulness more accessible through movement and creativity so all can benefit from this heart/mind/brain training. Her curated retreat activities draw on the embodied creative transformational learning from her work with the Alef Trust and are informed by the experience of the programs and activities run by the Mindfulness Centre of Excellence for individuals and groups worldwide. Tamara is the author of "Mindfulness in Motion" and "#whatismindfulness" published by Watkins. She is a Visiting Lecturer in the Neuroimaging Department of King's College London.
