After obtaining a degree in Biomedical Science, an MA in Religious Experience, and a PGDip in Consciousness & Transpersonal Psychology, I became a qualified hypno-psychotherapist with a special interest in spiritual crisis (or spiritual emergency). To this end, I am a trained Spiritual Emergence Coach and a volunteer and co-director of the Spiritual Crisis Network (SCN). I contribute to the SCN’s email response service and co-facilitate an SCN peer-support group in Sheffield, UK. I also provide a small counselling practice offering support and advice to people affected by spiritual crisis. In addition, I am a Trustee of the Alister Hardy Trust, which supports the work of the Religious Experience Research Centre (RERC) at the University of Wales Trinity Saint David. I do this in my own time whilst maintaining a full-time job working as an ICT Service Desk Manager in local government.
